Scale R/C trail trucks and crawlers used to be the result of painstaking hours of custom part making by highly-skilled builders. Recently, a few manufacturers have introduced some amazing kits. Now even novice R/C enthusiasts can get started building their own custom crawlers and trail rigs.
Two of our favorite manufacturers are RC4WD and Axial Racing.
RC4WD
RC4WD offers two scale R/C truck kits, the Trail Finder 2 and the Gelande II Defender D90. Both trucks feature an aluminum ladder frame chassis, center mounted 4x4 transfer case, stamped steel beadlock wheels, and cast metal axles. These are two of the most realistic kits on the market!

Axial Racing
Axial is known for their rock crawlers and scale trucks. Their scale trucks include the SCX10 Dingo kit, Trail Honcho RTR, Jeep Wrangler Rubicon kit, and Jeep Wrangler Rubicon RTR. While these trucks can be built into ultra-realistic scale rigs, they are great on the trail as well!
